Once again, I am attuned to the mysteries of nature, the falling leaf, the colors of fall, the winds, the shifting and wavering presences that call to me. To be attuned to such mysteries means that I must enter new pathways of self-in-world, become one with life—its jagged lines, its shapes, its invitations and uncertain directions. In mystery, things appear and disappear, fuse into one. Mystery unfolds in journeys along wide churning rivers, in near and faraway places, wherever there is the possibility of discovery, adventure, and surprise. In the middle of a dream, an idea is created, a new perspective awakens, a potent meaning emerges that will alter my life. In the mystery of myself, in the mystery of you, I find myself and you; we become one.
